Solasonach is a small independent knitwear design studio based in Dundee. Started in 2017 by Jen McAlinden, the year she graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee.
Jen started to take her original inspiration, mostly from various trips out to the beautiful, unspoiled Lunan Bay and turn it into warm, soft and comfortable, but also glamorous products.
Solasonach now has a range of collections of garments, accessories, and homewares available in super soft lambswool.
The ‘Ripples’ collection is inspired by the texture left in the wet sand by the waves after the tide has gone out on the beach.
The ponchos are warm, soft and 100% lambswool measuring 60cm from neckline to wrist and 80cm from v of collar to v at bottom.
All products are knitted on a hand powered machine and embellished by hand in Solasonach’s tiny studio located in the heart of beautiful Tayside, Scotland.
